A look back...

A decade after the events of Sunshine Acres, we move on to the Simcinnati suburb of San Myshuno and its outlying communities. But, before we look at the new, let's see what's happened in the 10 years since we first met Johnny Meecha.

Johnny started seeing Siri Ronstadt, dating for 3 years and then getting married. Siri loves Jenny like she were her own daughter and Jenny loves Siri, too. Johnny felt that was the most important thing, beyond his own feelings, so he made sure that Siri and Jenny got along famously before proposing marriage. They have 2 children together, Toni (aged 5) and Donna (aged 3). By complete co-incidence, Toni and Jenny share the same birthday.

Siri's BFF, Alexa Lauper, decided to join the community theatre troupe whereupon she accidentally fell in love with Cindy Samples during a performance of Esther Hogan's play, The Sky Turned Blue. They lived in Cindy's house until Alexa finished her residency, whereupon she was hired as an attending physician at Simcinnati General. While Alexa couldn't imagine being anyone's mum just 5 years ago, she's been working with kids a lot at the hospital and has started to warm up to the idea of adopting a child. While the idea of being pregnant herself makes her want to throw up, Cindy has been talking a lot about IVF lately. Quite honestly, the idea of her wife being pregnant is enough to give Alexa a duodenal ulcer. Who knows? In any event, they're otherwise living happily in a new apartment building in Simcinnati's Riverline district.

Cindy, still blissfully unaware that she and Mimi Landgrabb are stepsisters, went out with Mimi to Pink Jazz Trancers only once and discovered their personalities clashed so completely that she can't stand being in the same room with her.

Mimi's girlfriend from university, Tivi Rudis, moved in after graduating. They now have such loud sex every Thursday and Sunday that their neighbours shut their windows those days.

Dudley hasn't changed a bit; his trailer is still a mess, and he's pretty sure he's had that bottle of ketchup in his fridge door for the past 8 years. He goes out to a rave every week or so, where girls frequently hit on him, but the idea of having sex with anyone takes a backseat to smoking the n00bs in Ghost Realm Online. Besides, his sister is having enough sex for both of them, who cares?

Fellows ended production, with the final winner being DaQuan Anderson, receiving §1 Million. His popularity ensured a future as a television host on SimTV; his first role as host was on the fitness-themed reality show, Muscle Tower. The show was not popular, but DaQuan finally found a niche as the new host of Fellows beginning with its 3rd series. Ashante Morton was the runner-up and received a consolation prize of a new Vorn Speedster. It turned out that fan speculation about Ashante and voted-out contestant, Ariel Cardoso, had been correct; Ariel sought Ashante out after the show wrapped and asked if they could meet at Sardine's Pizzeria in San Myshuno, whereupon she was so glad to see Ashante again, she ran into her arms and kissed her in front of a dozen or so people, including 7 photographers. SimTV offered to make a TV show out of their wedding preparations, but they declined, seeing as how they were not planning to get married. Public interest in their relationship ended when the 2nd season started, but a "where are they now" special was produced in advance of Fellows series 10, where it was revealed that Ashante and Ariel are still together, living with Ariel's family in Sunset Valley.

Viola Casey divorced Archie Bowen on her 46th birthday and moved to Calvin's Creek where she now lives in the same apartment complex as her brother and nephew. She has been dating a man who works in the same office building she does, an insurance adjuster named Tom Morrow; however, menopause began when she turned 47, ending her hopes of ever having children. Being in such close proximity to her nephew made it easier. Archie, on the other hand, died from diabetic ketoacidosis, aged 56. Viola did not attend his funeral or even return any of his brother's telephone calls.

The harvest went very well on the Branch farm, and Willow and Haynes' wedding was attended by a host of Studio Town technical workers and background actors; you know, a real "Who's Who" of "Who the hell is that". It only took about a year for Willow to fully comprehend how different farming is from fire-escape gardening, and now she grows corn, tomatoes, onions, and nearly everything else in the produce section like Haynes couldn't believe. Their farm stand, Greentree Produce, has become so popular that they've started partnering with other local producers to sell their goods. While Haynes isn't as good at gardening as Willow, her thumb has also gotten rather green, to the point where she started a community garden and outdoor education centre. Film directing, choreography, and unfaithful girlfriends who run off with famous actresses and have 6 kids are now a faded memory against the vibrant future. As for having kids of their own, Willow gets sick at the mere description of pregnancy; the thought that she is capable of it herself is enough to send her into a nervous panic. Haynes' sister just had her 2nd set of twins last year, so Haynes is content to simply be married to the greatest girl in the whole world.

As for the Fairisle family? Let's follow them to Newcrest, shall we?
