Wallace & Gromit in A Close Shave (1995, BBC) Muppets from Space (1999, Columbia) Bob's Burgers 904-"Nightmare on Ocean Avenue Street"
Star Trek Voyager 216-"Meld"

It's always hard knowing just where to start on Hallo-week. I have such intense emotional attachment to all the stuff I tend to watch around this time of year, and since I've started my video datahoard, I've managed to increase my collection like 50-fold. Well, don't let's go mad on the first night. We'll start small, with a couple of films. No, they're not the traditional monster movies or slasher stuff that most people saturate the month with, but like I said before: there's enough trans girls and queer people of all stripes watching that stuff every year that I don't need to be one of them. I've always been more of a fan of the crunchy leaves, pillar candles, and orange and black flavoured loose tooth removal candy aspect to Halloween than the zombies rising, murderous ghosts, monstrous horror bit. I get enough death and horror from the news all year, I don't need to seek it out in fiction.

Saturday, 25th October 2025
Star Trek 203-"Catspaw" M*A*S*H 1102-"Trick or Treatment" Spongebob Squarepants 214-"Welcome to the Chum Bucket / Frankendoodle"
Bob's Burgers 302-"Full Bars" Courage the Cowardly Dog 102-"The Shadow of Courage / Dr. Le Quack, Amnesia Specialist" Scooby Doo, Where Are You! 104-"Mine Your Own Business"

You can't not watch "Catspaw" on Hallo-week, it's the law.

Sunday, 26th October 2025
Star Trek 214-"Wolf in the Fold" Spongebob Squarepants 113a-"Scaredy Pants" Spongebob Squarepants 114a-"SB-129"
Spongebob Squarepants 117b-"Rock Bottom" Rocko's Modern Life 111-"Power Trip / To Heck and Back" Bob's Burgers 502-"Tina and the Real Ghost"
Courage the Cowardly Dog 106-"The Duck Brothers / Shirley the Medium" Scooby Doo, Where Are You! 108-"Foul Play in Funland"

Nothing quite says "halloween" like the distorted voice of Piglet Tresspassers Will spewing death threats out of all the companels on the Enterprise, you know?

Monday, 27th October 2025
Star Trek TNG 202-"Elementary, Dear Data" Content warning. Anti-Romani racial slurs. Phineas & Ferb 104-"Are You My Mummy? / Flop Starz" Rocko's Modern Life 209-"Born to Spawn / Uniform Behaviour"
Bob's Burgers 603-"The Hauntening" Courage the Cowardly Dog 107-"King Ramses Curse / The Clutching Foot" Scooby Doo, Where Are You! 109-"The Backstage Rage"

No, technically "Flop Starz" has nothing to do with Halloween. Frankly, neither does "Are You My Mummy". But I watched it anyway. Damn, does Flop Starz remind me of Rocko's Modern Life! Not generally, but like esoterically. For a start, I think Dan Povenmire might have had the Chameleon Brothers in mind when he created Doof's voice.

Tuesday, 28th October 2025
Star Trek TNG 413-"Devil's Due" Spongebob Squarepants 320-"Spongebob Meets the Strangler / Pranks a Lot" 2 Stupid Dogs, the Red trilogy
Bob's Burgers 703-"Teen-a-Witch" Courage the Cowardly Dog 202-"The Curse of Shirley / Courage in the Big, Stinkin' City" Scooby Doo, Where Are You! 111-"A Gaggle of Gallopping Ghosts" Content warning. Anti-Romani racial slurs.

I accidentally skipped a day in my handwritten schedule, so I watched tomorrow's Bob's, Courage, and Scooby today. Oh well, so I'll make it up tomorrow.

Wednesday, 29th October 2025
Star Trek TNG 414-"Clues" Spongebob Squarepants 108-"Sandy's Rocket / Squeaky Boots" 2 Stupid Dogs 108-"Spooks a Poppin' / Sheep Dogs"
Bob's Burgers 804-"The Wolf of Wharf Street" Courage the Cowardly Dog 204-"Courage Meets the Mummy / Invisble Muriel" Scooby Doo, Where Are You! 114-"Go Away Ghost Ship"

Like I said yesterday, I watched today's Bob's, Courage, and Scooby by accident. So, I'm going to watch yesterday's episodes tonight. Actually, since 2 Stupid Dogs aired with an episode of Super Secret Secret Squirrel, just watching 2 segments is inadequate. It only comes out to about 16 minutes. What streaming service even offers that show in the first place? Like Rocko's Modern Life, 2 Stupid Dogs came to my datahoard from a pirate streamer.

Thursday, 30th October 2025
Star Trek DS9 117-"Dramatis Personae" Rocko's Modern Life 303-"Sugar Frosted Frights / Ed is Dead! A Thriller" Phineas & Ferb 109-"One Good Scare Ought to Do It"
Bob's Burgers 1004-"Pig Trouble in Little Tina" Courage the Cowardly Dog 313-"King of Flan" Scooby Doo, Where Are You! 201-"Nowhere to Hyde"

Happy Almost-ween! I think I've worked out the optimal playlist for next year, based on the selections I made this year. As for what that playlist will look like? You'll have to wait until next year to see it! Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!

Friday, Halloween 2025!
Star Trek DS9 214-"Whispers" Bob's Burgers 1104-"Heartbreak Hotel-oween" Courage the Cowardly Dog 403-"Le Quack Balloon / Windmill Vandals"
Scooby Doo, Where Are You! 205-"Haunted House Hangup" It's Magic, Charlie Brown (1981, CBS) Garfield's Halloween Adventure (1984, CBS)
It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (1966, CBS)

Quite honestly, It's Magic, Charlie Brown is a bit of a letdown. Like, I understand why they wanted to pair that with Great Pumpkin on the DVD release, but it's like... maybe make a different Halloween special? Not anymore, obviously. Anything they could come up with now would be a genAI shitfest, but they could have revisited the idea during the Halloween renaissance in the '90s. Oh well, too late. Anyway, it doesn't make It's Magic any less of a letdown. To think, I used to end my Halloween playlist with it! I don't think I'll watch it at all next year; or, if I do, it'll be earlier in the week.
