Ok, I'll admit, I only queued up so much because I like spending hours every night watching TV. This isn't going to work for everyone for various economic reasons, so let's have a look at just what's essential.
| 8 Essential Videos for Halloween | ||
|---|---|---|
| Star Trek 203-"Catspaw" | Star Trek TNG 202-"Elementary, Dear Data" | Bob's Burgers 302-"Full Bars" |
| Bob's Burgers 603-"The Hauntening" | Phineas & Ferb 109-"One Good Scare Ought to Do It" | SpongeBob SquarePants 214-"Welcome to the Chum Bucket/Frankendoodle" |
| Garfield's Halloween Adventure | It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown | |
If you're looking for slasher flix and monster movie recs, look somewhere else. If you don't have a girl in your life who saturates their halloween with the bloodiest possible murder porn, then what kind of life are you even living? However, I am not that girl. I'm the girl with a datahoard full of old TV and cartoons, and these selections are the ones I think are most important. Some I've been watching all my life, some are fairly recent additions to my Halloween process, but you can't go wrong with these.
I only have 2 episodes of Bob's Burgers recommended, but they've had a Halloween show every year since series 3. Some are better than others. I'm not too crazy about 502-"Tina & the Real Ghost" because it's only peripherally related to Halloween, but if you're keen on Tina like I am, go with 1004-"Pig Trouble in Little Tina" instead.
Also, if you just have to have a sci-fi thriller, Star Trek TNG 125-"Conspiracy" will do the job. It even has an exploding rubber head for your "puke your guts up" type masochistic enjoyment. A little tame as far as Halloween thrillers go, but what do you want from me here? Highlights are the computer back-sassing Data and Tom Morga getting thrown across a room a couple times.
Rocko's Modern Life is kinda hard to find anymore, but 303-"Sugar-Frosted Frights/Ed is Dead! A Thriller" is also essential. It's not in the chart though, because of that reason: it's hard to find. I don't know what streaming service it's on, if it's on one at all right now. The show came to my datahoard through a pirate streamer.
