New Leaf update 2: What's Going On in Westfold?

As I mentioned on my dashboard, I'm slowly transforming my house in New Leaf into an office. Call me a corporate shill if you like, but I loved working in an office back when I was a normal person. A data-entry job was exactly what my autistic brain needed! For the record, I never worked in the private sector, as in, for a for-profit company or corporation; my last office job was in the state welfare office. I was the one who would get the welfare applications from the online form, enter the info into the state's proprietary software, and submit the case data to the caseworkers upstairs. Even though I loved my job— being able to step outside and be at the right bus stop, working right there at the end of the bus line, never needing to transfer busses, having my own office and a manager who wouldn't just pop in whenever she felt like it, being able to listen to SimCity music all day— I'm glad I left before they started having me answer the phone. I hate the phone for a number of reasons, but, in a job-related area, my audio processing issues would cause problems for people who are already more stressed out than they've ever been in their whole lives. Of course, I have a radio announcer's voice, so no one would ever need to ask "what? could you repeat that?", but I might have been mistaken for a computer prompt if I started announcing my lines as though they were radio copy.

That has absolutely nothing to do with Animal Crossing. Since I discovered how to use Wumiibo, I was able to summon Huck and Cleo to the Campground. Cleo's caravan is an office, so I can get most of what I need from her; but I also decided that, since my house is so large, I could accomodate a breakroom and reception area too. Huck's caravan is a food court, so I was able to get a chair and vending machine from him. Plus, I had an ulterior motive with Huck: at some point, I want to redecorate my house to look like a mall food court with an arcade, so that meant I needed Huck's bussing station. I still haven't given up on the convenience store bit, but I'm unsure of my ability to summon Filly. I hope the 7-11 assets are already in the game, so I can use Vapecord to hack the objects into my pockets. I know the Fueki assets are in the game by default, so I'm feeling pretty good about being able to get the 7-11 stuff this way.

I guess that's a big problem with save editors: how much is too much? How impatient am I going to be about unlocking things naturally, when I have the whole database right here? At some point, the game becomes moot, since you can just hack it to do whatever you want. Originally, I was thinking about getting LeafEdit (a similar ACNL save editor to Vapecord) so I could control my girl's hairstyle and colour, without needing to rely on Harriet's idea of what I'm talking about (this was actually the reason I was able to get the Reset Centre built; my first intentional reset was to restore my hair to default after Harriet bollocksed it up). I decided that was too much power to trust myself with, so I decided to just wear hats where necessary and go to Shampoodle more often. Anyway, I'm setting the convenience store redecorating project far into the future, after I've gotten tired of Westfold at long last and am just about to quit playing for a grand long while. Maybe, at that point, living in a convenience store will be the kick in the trousers I need to carry on playing?
