First, let's talk about Greenweed Island's first-born daughter, Allison Stepson. She grew up yesterday and her parents, Mickey and Abby, sent her off to see the world.
She seems a bit shorter than both her parents, but I guess it's normal, considering she's only about 16. It seems like just yesterday, I was watching her jump on the trampoline in the backyard, and the day before that I was playing Peekaboo with her to get her to stop crying, and the day before that that I was taking birth announcement pictures! Oh wait, that's because it was. A 3-day childhood is such a Nintendo move.
Anyway, I couldn't bring myself to say goodbye so easily, so I found her on the Mii Plaza later and transferred her back to Mii Maker. Hopefully that doesn't affect her travelling (knowing Nintendo, it might); since the first boat she boarded was to Riza's island, I'll have to ask her if Allison showed up.
For whatever reason, JJ and Betty are dragging their feet on having kids. I know that there are certain economic and moral reasons why you might not want to have kids in realspace, but Greenweed Island is as close to socialism as you can get in a capitalist system, and every other island in the world is exactly the same. I guess they read about how certain players have killed their visitors by not accepting the streetpass and then deleting their savefiles. It's only that I really want to send travellers out from Greenweed Island... I'm assuming you can send more than 1 traveller at a time. Well, we'll see. Probably. At the rate my villagers are getting married, I'm assuming we'll have enough kids to open a school around here.
However, Linda Belcher and Wario Ware will not be amongst them. Linda discovered that buying Wario's love with a large shiny mineral just wasn't going to cut it. Twice she attempted to propose marriage to him, hoping that would mend the rift that grew between them, but eventually, she just had to call it quits. She brought him to the café and broke up with him over a double espresso.
I guess Bob Gennaro should have stuck around a bit longer, huh? Anyway, Linda is single again and Wario was on the rebound. Just the time for Jenna Ricker to invite him to the observation tower and admit her love for him. Completely out of the blue, a voice from behind the door cried "WAIT!" and it flew open to reveal...
Gina Fletcher, who rushed out to stop Wario from going steady with Jenna. Much to both Jenna's and my chagrin, Wario chose Gina to go steady with and Jenna moped back to the lift in defeat. Don't ask me why Wario is wearing a hamster suit, I didn't tell him to wear that.
Beaming at finding each other at last, Gina and Wario asked me what I thought of their relationship. They did not like my reply. Quite honestly, I don't know yet who Gina will go steady with, but I know that Wario is not it. You guys shouldn't have given me the choice, you know?
Exercising my control as Greenweed Island's demigod, I ended the relationship before it could begin. Wario went back home and continued grieving for his recent breakup with Linda. I caught Wario and Gina talking animatedly later, probably trying to figure out what problem I had with their relationship.
Further to failure, Bella Barthelet wanted to propose to Gene Ericssen, but she kept fucking up the timing. Taking Gene onto the Ferris wheel, her intent had been to propose to him at the top, but things kept happening that prevented it. First, Gene started talking about carnival rides, then the rollercoaster went by with 8 screaming passengers, finally Gene had to go to the bathroom, so he ran back to the ferry after the wheel stopped.
Also, Gracie Lorré, for some reason, decided she was in love with Joey Bill Legweak. Well... no you're not. Ordinarily, I wouldn't mind a bit of homewrecking going on, and I would probably have egged her on, too; except, I won't allow it when it concerns my girl, Tina. Since polyamoury is not a thing in this game, having Gracie let Joey know about her feelings for him would have run the risk of breaking Tina's heart and I won't let that happen.
Gracie sure is having some bad luck in the romance department this week, isn't she? She also unsuccessfully tried to stop Kodey Kalandra getting together with Hank Hill.
Now, admittedly, that one, I'm a little dubious about. There's almost a 15-year age gap between 27-year-old Kodey and 41-year-old Hank. I guess it's less of a thing than the 30-year age gap between gremlin and Charles Martinet from a couple weeks ago, but like. If either of them decide to propose marriage to the other, I'm going to make Hank disappear. I did it with Dave, I did it with Chuck, I'll do it with Hank too if the need arises. Besides, the clothing store is getting a lot of costumes in stock lately, and I'd like a character of some kind to live in Greenweed. We already have Garulf the Blue Wizard (I couldn't find any reference to what Tolkien named his Blue Wizards, so I just named Garulf after the horse that Eothain rode to Edoras), but I'd like to see who else I can get into this flat.
Finally, doesn't Tina look cute in her new lolita outfit?
