First, the obvious question: When is TADC FF#3 going to happen? Eventually. Probably in 2026. I've already written a lot of it, and I'm not, like, stuck on anything; it's just a matter of having the time. Up until very recently, I was working on Forever Hills (the $9 bonus for subscribing to The Sims Revisited), which was taking up the vast majority of my time. Apart from job hunting (which is looking less and less likely as time wears on), I also have realspace chores to do, and now, on top of everything else, I have Nintendo Switch Minecraft to take me even further away from the computer. So, in amongst that litany of excuses is a valid reason for not having released FF#3 yet.
Relative to what I have written so far, the new character has been introduced. He's currently in the process of meeting all the existing characters and coming to terms with existing as a separate entity from his Realspace self. Several weeks ago, I wrote an outline for him, so I would know where to go with him, set down certain immutable qualities about his character, that kind of thing. He's a juris doctor graduate from Ohio who spent about 4 years working in New York City as a legal assistant for the TiVo company, in the same building as The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. For whatever reason, he was never able to sit for the bar exam, so he is not currently an attorney. Instead, after TiVo shut down, he moved back to Ohio and is now working in a mall bookstore, which brings him into contact with a C&A demonstration kiosk, sending him to the Circus. Once I have the full fic published, I'll go into more detail.
I also want to do backstories for all the characters in the circus. I decided to start with our most under-utilised character, rather than jumping straight into an origin story for Jax or Pomni. Since even Zooble had one-on-one time with Caine, I reckon that Gangle is our most under-utilised character. At the same time, I think a lot of people can relate to Zoey Raghavan's backstory. I'm not going all the way back, just about 2 months before she becomes Gangle.
That having been said, I can't stay stuck in The Amazing Digital Circus for my entire life. I'm going to start writing my Sunshine Acres stories to put up on The Sims Revisited. The reason I hadn't been doing much with that is, the workflow I had for photography was just too complex. There was absolutely no way I was going to make that work. However, now I have a more streamlined workflow, which should make it a lot simpler. This way won't require me to do as much photo editing as I was planning before. I figure I can use Sunshine Acres to decompress and gather my thoughts for the TADC fanfics.
Of course, once Riza and I mod our Switch, all my free time will be gone and work on all writing, TADC-related and not, will probably stop for an indefinite period of time. Maybe years. But, that shouldn't happen for a while yet. We've basically gambled on hackers waiting to reveal their softmods until after EOL, because we don't really have anywhere to take the console to get it modchipped.
