Did you like that clickbaity title? I'm proud of it. Anyway, someone on tumblr brought this up: little kids are often taught the tune and the lyrics to "Alouette"—Alouette, gentille alouette, alouette, je te plumerai—completely divorced of context or any kind of translation. It wasn't until my 1st year of French class (which I'm still not quite sure why I took that instead of the more practical Spanish) that I learned what the words meant.
Anyway, I took some liberties with the translation so it would fit into the metre, but this is basically how the song translates into English. Sing along with "Alouette" if you like, it'll fit.
Little birdie, precious little birdie
I'mma go mediaeval on your ass.
Gonna take away your head
Gonna pluck your beak right off
Gonna gouge out both your eyes
Gonna hack off both your wings
Gonna chop your tail right off
Tail right off, both your wings
Both your eyes, beak right off
'Way your head, birdie dead, oh-whoa-whoa-whoa
Little birdie, precious little birdie
I'mma go mediaeval on your ass
